Scope and Contents
Series I: Book Research, 1958-2008 contains research notes, documents, and multiple drafts related to the writing of Kerouac in Florida: Where the Road Ends.
Series II: Writer in Residence Project, 2000-2007 is comprised of materials associated with the Jack Kerouac Project in Orlando, including successful applications for the Writer in Residence Project, journals, and event information.

Biographical or Historical Information
Bob Kealing is a three-time Emmy Award winning reporter for WESH 2 News in Orlando, Florida. He is the author the book Kerouac in Florida: Where the Road Ends and co-founder of the Jack Kerouac Writers in Residence Project of Orlando. His nonprofit charity raised funds to buy and renovate Kerouac's historic Orlando home. It is now a writers retreat.

The Bob Kealing Kerouac Research Collection contains documents and research notes related to Kealing's book Kerouac in Florida: Where the Road Ends, book drafts, legal documents, articles written by Kealing, articles related to the Kerouac House, and other materials regarding the Writer in Residence Program.

This collection is arranged into two separate series by topic.

Bob Kealing donated these materials to the University of Central Florida Libraries, Special Collections and University Archives in 2008 (CFM2008_09).
Processing Information
Collection processed by Jeffrey Baumiller; finding aid prepared by Jeffrey Baumiller. All materials were put into pH neutral folders, pictures were sleeved, and the materials were boxed.
