Biographical/Historical Note

Born on October 28, 1949, Louis C. Rotundo seemed to have always carried with him a keen interest in both State and Washington D.C. politics. This interest persisted all the way through Rotundo’s graduation from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 1975. After Rotundo graduated from UCF, he came into the service of United States Senator Lawton Chiles, working as an aide. In addition, Rotundo also served as a lobbyist for the state of Florida in the state capitol of Tallahassee as well as Washington D.C. Rotundo has also served as a member of the UCF faculty from 1980 to 1988. While employed by UCF, Rotundo earned a place as Special Assistant to the President of UCF from 1984 to 1987. After departing from UCF in 1988, Rotundo has employed himself as the principal of Rotundo and Associates, which is a Central Florida based company that specializes as both a lobbying and consultant firm.

In addition to having an interest in politics at both a state and national interest, Rotundo also carried with him another interest, an interest that very quickly transformed from just a hobby to a search to find the truth, the truth about the X–1 plane. Rotundo’s interest after reading a book entitled “The Right Stuff” and from there, his interest in the X–1 plane continued to grow. (Hobby: Writing about the X–1 plane) This interest ultimately culminated in Rotundo penning the book “Into the Unknown,” a book that he hopes will serve to inform readers of the whole truth behind the X–1 plane as well as serving to dispel and falsehoods that may have been spread about this top secret project.
