Scope and Contents
The collection consists of one box that holds founding documents, news clippings, financial reports, newsletters and compact discs.
Series I: Historiography, 1989-2011, undated contains the historiography of the Retirement Association and includes correspondence, event announcements, and association reports.
Series II: Master Records, 1989-2010, undated contains the the master records for the Retirement Association such as meeting information, correspondence,and event information.
Series III: Administrative Files, 1989-2011, undated contains the administrative documents of the Retirement Association such as membership information, correspondence, financial reports, and documents on the Garden of Rememberance.
Series IV: Newsletters, 1989-2012, undated contains the UCF Retirement Association newsletter also known as the UCFRA Star. This newsletter contains information about past and upcoming events, the UCFRA board of directors, and current news regarding members.
Series V: Memorabilia, Undated contains the UCF Retirement Association memorabilia and consists of one pin.

Biographical or Historical Information
The University of Central Florida Retirement Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 with the purpose of promoting the general welfare of UCF retirees and the university community. The association is administered by the board and consists of a President, President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer. Any person who retires from the University of Central Florida may become a member of the association.

Abstract
The UCF Retirement Association, Inc. was organized in 1989 to promote the general welfare of UCF retirees and the university community. This collection consists of photographs, newsletters, and correspondence that document the association's activities.

The collection is arranged in five series.
Method of Acquisition
Carrie Lehmann gifted these materials to the University of Central Florida Libraries, Special Collection and University Archives in 2007 (CFU2007_16) and in 2008 (CFU2008_08a). Mary Lou Burgess transferred additional materials in 2013 (CFU2013_20).

Processing Information
Collection processed by and finding aid prepared by Judith Beale in 2007. Documents were organized in chronological order in acid free folders and boxes. In 2015, additions were integrated, with much of the original organization retained, by Nadeen Kiwan and the finding aid was placed into Archon, resulting in edition 2. Copies of five compact discs have been created and added to the end of the collection. The acquisition method field and the subjects were updated by Kryslynn Collazo in 2018, resulting in edition 3.
