Distributional notes on some North Florida freshwater fishes.

Abstract/Description:
Extensive field collections were made in the St. Johns River system as part of a survey along the proposed route of the Cross-Florida Barge Canal. The goal of the survey was to determine the status of five possible rare and endangered fish spieces, whose occurrence in the drainage is widely disjunct from their next closest populations: Notropis cummingsae, Notropis welaka, Ictalurus brunneus, Enneacanthas chactodon and Etheosma olmstedu. This report includes the results of the survey and several unrelated collections in the Gainesville area.
