University of Central Florida Mr. and Miss UCF Collection

The Mr. and Miss UCF competition gives students the opportunity to win scholarships through pageants. Students audition and are put through several rounds of competition before being crowned Mr. or Miss UCF.The Mr. and Miss UCF pageant is held every year. They are crowned a couple months before their year title states. The events are generally held between October to December but the winners are given the title for the following year.

The Miss UCF pageant began in 1984 cosponsored by the UCF Alumni Association and the Student Center Board. A $500 scholarship was awarded as well as admission in the Miss Florida pageant. Now the UCF pageants are cosponsered by the Student Government Association, UCF Alumni Association and advertisement revenue. The first female awarded with the Miss UCF title was Lisa Lorenze. The following winners were Jennifer Waldron (1985), Ann Darus (1986), Traci Wixson (McLaine) (1987), Cynthia Moore (Smith) (1988), Shalisha Sloan (James) (1989), Jennifer O’Katy (1990), Victoria Lambert (1991), Amy Reese (1992), Kimberly Sarubbi (1993), Jennifer Alvarez (1994), Heidi Hyche (1995), Beck Dedo (Delaughter) (1996), Kristen Cimock (LeBlanc) (1997), April Koons (1998), Kelli Meierhenry (1999)and Nicole Gilley was crowned once Kelli Meierhenry won Miss Florida 1999, Jana Eaton (2000), Sara Taylor (2001), Isabel Rougeau (2002), Kriste Burgess (2003), Christine Cooper (2004), Jennifer Hartzler (2005), Megan Clementi (2006), Denesha Jenkins (2007), Audra Martin (2008), Dasha Gonzalez (2009), Sara York (2010), Jacqueline Boehme (2011), Alexa Schmidt (2012), Erin O’Flaherty (2013), Catie Pires-Fernandes (2014), Brittany Vasile (2015), Ivory Paulk (20016), Madison Daniel (2017), Courtney Jones (2018), Keyera Lyn (2019), and Anna Huynh (2020).

The Mr. UCF pageant began in 1991 with the name originally B.M.O.C, or “Big Man on Campus”. The name changed to Mr. UCF in 1997. The first competition was cosponsored by Zeta Tau Alpha and the Campus Activities Board. The first winner was Patrick Fagan.
