Scope and Contents
Series I: Scrapbooks, 1984-2003 contains ten scrapbooks related to the UCF Arboretum as well as a small amount of loose scrapbook pages. The scrapbooks contain mostly photographs but also include related Arboretum articles, reports, pamphlets, and flyers.
Series II: Publications, 1988-2011 contains materials that were either produced by or about the Arboretum. It consists of brochures, flyers, newsletters, articles and papers.
Series III: Plans and Concept Drawings, undated contains the floor plans and concept drawings for a renovation of the Stockard Conservatory Greenhouse.

The Arboretum of the University of Central Florida, founded in 1983, is an arboretum and botanical garden in Orlando, Florida, USA. Covering 80 acres it contains more than 600 species of plants, including more than 100 bromeliads, in cultivated gardens.

Abstract
This collection contains scrapbooks, loose materials, and publications related to the UCF Arboretum. Comprised mostly of photographs, the collection also contains pamphlets, articles, and concept drawings.

Alaina Bernard gifted these materials to the University of Central Florida Libraries, Special Collection and University Archives in 2008 (CFU2008_17).

Processing Information
Collection processed by Jeffrey Baumiller, Nava Cohen, and Whitney Broadaway and finding aid prepared by Whitney Broadaway in 2008. Scrapbooks were sorted chronologically. Any loose materials were put into folders and organized in a separate box. In 2010-2011 the scrapbooks were dismantled and the photos removed from the acidic pages and placed in plastic sleeving for their protection. The finding aid was updated for consistency among all collections by Mary Rubin in 2012. The finding aid was placed into Archon, with adjustments made for Archon and resulting in edition 2, by Mary Rubin in 2015. The acquisition method field and the subjects were updated by Kryslynn Collazo in 2018, resulting in edition 3.
