Biographical or Historical Information
Established in 1984 under the Interdisciplinary Minor Program at the University of Central Florida, the Judaic Studies minor created a series entitled "Distinguished Lecturers". In the early 1990's, the Judaic Studies minor separated from the Interdisciplinary Minor Program to become its own Judaic Studies Program at UCF. Distinguished Lecturers series is still continuing in 2008.

Abstract
Correspondences, news clippings, photographs and advertisements document the Distinguished Lecturers series sponsored by the Judaic Studies Program. Lecture subjects range from the Holocaust to Modern Israeli issues.

Moshe Pelli transferred these materials to the University of Central Florida Libraries, Special Collection and University Archives in 2007 (CFU2007_14).

Processing Information
Collection processed by and finding aid prepared by Nava Cohen in 2008. The collection was in rough chronological order and some folders were rearranged to be placed correctly in this order. Photographs in various folders were housed in polyester sleeves. Removed metal paper clips and attached with plastic paper clips. Additionally, newspaper articles were protected with pH neutral paper. Folders were rehoused in pH neutral folders and placed into pH neutral cartons for storage.The finding aid was placed into Archon, with adjustments made for Archon and resulting in edition 2, by Mary Rubin in 2015. The acquisition method field and the subjects were updated by Kryslynn Collazo in 2018, resulting in edition 3.
