The harvesting seasons for the various crops vary so greatly due to temperature and rainfall. The same crop will last much longer than being planted on different dates. Different varieties of the same crop differ as to length of gathering days. Days from planting to maturity varies much more in some crops than in others. Weather and soil conditions are the main cause of these variations.
