- Florida's economy, population and resource demands have consistently expanded over the past three decades. An abundance of cheap resources allowed this rapid growth to occur. However, today resources no longer appear limitless. Fossil fuels, raw materials, land and water are in short supply. The South Florida Study attempts to present the reader with a better understanding of these regional problems, with recommendations and guidelines for future planning.
