Summary: Twelve restoration alternatives have been identified by the U.S Army Corps of Engineers as possible measures to repair the impacts associated with the present system of water works. The objectives of the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission's Kissimmee Wetlands Investigation Section were to further document impacts to fish and wildlife populations, to evaluate fish and wildlife habitat conditions and needs within this region, to evaluate alternatives in terms of fish and wildlife resources, and to formulate recommendations regarding restoration measures necessary to mitigate impacts sustained by endemic fish and wildlife resources of the Kissimmee River Basin.
