Note(s): Mrs. Patricia Clempson was born in 1937 and lived her whole life in Hollywood, Florida. She witnessed the city’s growth, racial segregation, and integration. In her interview, Mrs. Clempson recounts a troubled and abusive marriage, being the single mother of three sons, and of finding love again. Currently, Mrs. Clempson volunteers for the Hollywood Historical Society. She speaks with great affection for her birthplace and complements her story with photographs from her childhood.
